Senator Ted Cruz

This clown is a vile imitation of a human being parading around inside a Senator's suit.

You listen to the incredibly inflammatory and unintelligent things that he says and you begin to hear echoes of Joseph McCarthy.

This is a major drawback of our political system that a fool like this can get elected to high public office. And supposedly represent his constituents.

The man is a dangerous lunatic who is routinely criticized by members of his own party.

I listen to the things he says and realize this idiot was weened on reality TV. Reality TV is estimated to have begun in the late eighties or early nineties. Cruz was born in 1970, so he would have been late teens early twenties when TV began to devolve into the hideous thing it is today.

His approach to politicking sounds to me tailor made for low intelligence people who slurp up reality TV like so much cool aid.

There are so many problems and embarrassments in this country, like the poverty issue, the huge gulf between the classes, racial hatred, hunger, and mass murders that happen every other day.

The biggest problem of all, and maybe the root of all the others, is stupidity.

We wallow in it. We celebrate it. We regress in it.

That's how a guy like Ted Cruz gets elected.

We have reversed the age old saying that the cream rises to the top. Now stupidity rises to the top.

Cruz is harmful to our political process and ultimately to this country.

If justice be served, he will be slapped down and reduced to swabbing out latrines, which is all he is really qualified for.

But I won't hold my breath.

He may just feed on constituent stupidity and grow stronger and more buffoonish. Others just like him or worse may come along to swell the ranks of lunacy. They are already out there. Just back track to some of the ridiculous comments made by many republicans during the last Presidential election.

Politicians should be required to pass an IQ test before being deemed fit to run for public office and having the opportunity to directly affect peoples' lives.

Cruz's score would probably relegate him to the role of a cockroach.

Which is exactly what he is, except he is crawling around our government and infecting the lives of those unsuspecting fools who think they elected one of their own.

Which they did, but now that he has the power and the pulpit he cares only about himself, the publicity and his wallet.
