Sports Related

No more high fiving in sports. It pisses me off.
Watching Brazil and Russia compete in women's indoor volleyball and they were high fiving after every goddamn point. Even if they lost the point. And on top of that, girls look wimpy when they high five.
In the NBA, a guy steps up to the line and misses a free throw and his teammates slap his hand. Nobody congratulates me for screwing up.

Baseball players spit too much. They spit all the time. It looks disgusting and I surely would not like to clean up after them in the dugout. They chew sunflower seeds, tobacco, gum and they spit.
I love it when a player gets a gob stuck in his beard. It takes a stupid habit and makes it look stupider. Is there some rule that says baseball players have to be saliva lubricated more than any other sport?
They do it because they are supposed to.
The first thing they determine as a kid is your spit competency. "Can you hit, little Johnnie?" "No." "Can you spit?" "Yeah, my father taught me. He played high school ball." "OK, you are on the team, little Johnnie."
Kid asks the coach, "Why do I have to spit?" Coach says "Because it's what we do." Kid asks "What does it accomplish?" Coach says "Collect all the dirty jocks and bring them home to your mama to wash."

I hate the fact that a professional coach is called "Coach' for the rest of his life. It's juvenile. You got Parcells on ESPN and they call him coach. He's not a coach anymore. Call him Bill. Call him a**hole. Call him anything but coach. It makes the interviewers come across as little kids and gives the term "coach" more prestige than it deserves.

I also hate that professional athletes are forever tied to the school they went to. Eighteen years into a professional career and they are still referencing the guy's college. Bonecrusher Jones, a Buckeye, has signed a one year contract in his 19th year in the NFL. Please. The guy never saw the inside of a classroom or a coed with clothes on.
I will allow the college reference during the rookie year. After that you are a man.
